Community Newsletter: RUSD freshmen explore college, careers at SEE Your Future Expo

The Racine Unified School District (RUSD) SEE Your Future Expo was recently highlighted in RUSD's "Community Newsletter" in the Racine Journal Times.  All 1,500 Racine Unified high school freshmen participated in the Expo and had the chance to explore over 50 career options.  More than 50 locally-based employers participated in the Expo, speaking to the students about their career field, experience, and the skills required in becoming employed in their field of work.  In a post-event survey, over 80 percent of students responded that attending the Expo will impact the classes they plan on taking in high school, while 94 percent of employers reported having a "four or higher" on a five point scale measuring their satisfaction with participating in the event.

The SEE Your Future Expo, hosted by Higher Expectations and the Racine Unified School District, was a huge success and the partnership is looking forward to hosting the event again in 2017.
