Journal Times: Replacing retirees a concern for many area employers

A workforce skills gap survey conducted by Higher Expectations and the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development finds retirement to be a great concern for Racine County employers. The survey, which was designed to assess workforce skills gaps, hard-to-fill occupations, and employment needs for Racine County employers - was shared with 360 employers. Of the employers surveyed, over half have expressed concern for replacing employees due to retirement. To help alleviate these concerns, Higher Expectations is proud to support the Racine Unified School District as they launch the Academies of Racine and create  “career pathways plans” for RUSD students.
