Higher Expectations Launches Full-Day 4K

Higher Expectations has partnered with community stakeholders to launch A.I.M. Now in an effort to ensure students enter Kindergarten ready to learn. A.I.M. Now will operate at Atonement Lutheran Church on Racine's west side and will provide pre-school and child development services for children three years old and older with a focus on full-day 4K.

A.I.M Now is designed to provide a full-day 4K curriculum for children by blending three funding streams: Department of Public Instruction (DPI) funds for 4K, Wisconsin Shares childcare subsidies, and private pay from families. According to DPI, 63% of children in RUSD qualify for free or reduced-price lunch and Wisconsin Shares childcare subsidies. A.I.M Now’s unique blend of funding streams will ensure that low-income families have access to high-quality care.
