Racine Unified School District (RUSD), in partnership with the United Way of Racine County, held public tours of the new Knapp school facility, Racine County’s first community school, on Thursday, August 18th. The community school will not only provide an education for it's future students, but will also be an important resource for the community. In order to build a stronger, more engaged community, Knapp will focus these resources on health, social service, community development, as well as education. Prior to the public tour, the event included a dedication ceremony, as well as a ribbon-cutting performed by officials from the Racine community and future Knapp Elementary students.
