Notes:

  • In the ACS, "Hispanic or Latino orgin" and "Two or more races" are not mutually exclusive of each other or the other races/ethnicities listed (i.e. a person could be counted in both categories AND as another race), unlinke race/ethnicity data in other dashboards on this site.
  • The ACS poverty population estimates only include those people for whom poverty status can be determined. See ACS for more information.
  • In the Higher Expectations 2015-16 Annual Report (p. 24), unemployment rates were reported for "Racine County (excluding Racine City)". That category is not an official reported geography. It was an estimate created by dividing the difference between the # of unemployed Racine City and Racine County adults by the difference between the # of Racine City and Racine County labor force-participating adults (using the same data source listed above). This was done to illustrate a best-available estimated difference between unemployment rates, aligned to Higher Expectations's original mission of reducing the Racine City rate to match the rest of the county. It is not officially sanctioned data from the sources listed above.
  • Correction: in the Higher Expectations 2015-16 Annual Report poverty rate charts (p. 24), the year ranges were reported as "2007-2012", "2008-2013", and "2009-2014". Those should have read "2008-2012", "2009-2013", and "2010-2014".
